SUMMER:  One June record: three on 21 June 1971 at Kyger Creek Power Plant (HS).  Casual Migrant from mid-August to late August.  Early dates, one on 16 August 1990 at Kyger Creek Power Plant (WA, MG); one on 19 August (WA) and two on 20 August (WA, GR) 2008 at Byrd Locks & Dam; one on 20 August 1994 at Byrd Locks & Dam (WA).  Late dates, one on 22 August 1994 at Kyger Creek Power Plant (WA, LK); one on 29 August 2005 in Mason Co., WV (WA, JB); one on 29 August (WA) and two on 30 August (MG, DP) 2006 at Byrd Locks & Dam; one on 31 August 2005 at Byrd Locks & Dam (WA, JB).  See Remarks section for high counts.

MIGRATION:

 Spring:  Casual Migrant.  Six records.14 April 1952 (Edeburn et al. 1960); one on 20 April 1999 at Byrd Locks & Dam (WA); one on 14 and 16 May 2007 at Byrd Locks & Dam (WA, MG, DP); one on 15 May 1962 at Cheshire, Gallia Co., OH (JI, TI, GR); one on 19 May 1974 at Barboursville, Cabell Co., WV (HS); 31 May 1953 (Edeburn et al. 1960).

 Fall:  Casual Migrant from early September to early November.  All records from one to three birds.  Late dates, 03 November 1951 (Edeburn et al. 1960); three in early November 1987 at Kyger Creek Power Plant (WA); one on 31 October 2007 at Byrd Locks & Dam (WA); one on 10 October 1995 at Kyger Creek Power Plant (WA, CE).
