WARBLERS

Blue-winged Warbler  Vermivora pinus

WINTER:  NO RECORDS.

SUMMER:  Common Resident.

MIGRATION:

 Spring:  Common Migrant from mid-April to early May.  Early dates, 16 April 1941 (Edeburn et al. 1960), 2001 (GR), 2002 (BD) and 2005 (MG, DP).

 Fall:  Uncommon Migrant, with local populations departing in mid-July and August. September migrants probably from more northern breeding grounds (Kiff et al. 1986).  Late dates, 05 October 1979 (HS); 25 September 2004 (MG, DP); 23 September 1979 (HS).
