REMARKS:
Edeburn et al. (1960) indicated this species may nest in our area and Kiff et al. (1986) considered this species a rare resident. Since the discovery of nesting at Beech Fork State Park in 1983 ( Igou 1986) this species is now a common resident in our area. The construction of concrete bridges and dams with ledges available, since the early 1980's, has led to the increased abundance of nesting in our area.
