WINTER:  NO RECORDS.

MIGRATION:

 Spring:  Casual Migrant from late April to early May.  Early dates, 17 April 1948 (Edeburn et al. 1960); 23 April 1961 and 1964 (WA); 28 April 1963 (WA, LK).  Late dates, 20 May 1941 (Edeburn et al. 1960); 08 May 1979 (HS).

 Fall:  Accidental.  One on 20 September 2003 (WA, JB, JF, MG) and 21 September 2003 (WA, JB, MG).

REMARKS:

Singing Male Census (Canterbury et al. 1993):  No Golden-winged Warblers were recorded at Green Bottom WMA or Beech Fork State Park/Dam area from 1989 to 1992, as part of a study of the status and population ecology of this species in southern West Virginia.

Breeding Bird Survey (Koch and Hurley 1972): Beech Fork Lake, Wayne Co., WV (29 May 1969): 50 Stops, 25 Mile. Number of Stops Recorded: 1. Total Birds: 1.
