WINTER:  Uncommon to Very Common Resident.  Locally, Abundant to Very Abundant in some years.  See Remarks section for CBC data.

SUMMER:  Very Common to Abundant Resident.

MIGRATION:

 Spring:  Very Common to Abundant Migrant from late February to mid-March.

 Fall:  Very Common to Abundant Migrant from early October to mid-November.

Breeding Bird Survey (Koch and Hurley 1972): Beech Fork Lake, Wayne Co., Wv (29 May 1969): 50 Stops, 25 Mile. Number of Stops Recorded: 4. Total Birds: 7.

Breeding Bird Survey (Koch 1974): McClintic WMA, Mason Co., WV (29 May 1971): 50 Stops, 12.25 Mile. Number of Stops Recorded: 17. Total Birds: 43.
