MIGRATION:

 Spring:  Uncommon to Fairly Common Migrant from mid-March to late April.  Late dates, one on 02 May 1976 at Kyger Creek Power Plant (HS); one on 29 April 1969 (WA) and 29 April 1973 at Kyger Creek Power Plant (HS); one on 28 April 1972 at Ona, Cabell Co., WV (HS).  See Remarks section for high counts.. 

 Fall:  Uncommon Migrant arriving from early November to late November.  Early dates, two on 28 October 2006 at Crab Creek, Mason Co., WV (WA, MG, DP); two on 04 November 1970 at Kyger Creek Power Plant (HS); four on 04 November 1998 at Harris River Front Park, Huntington, WV (HS); one on 05 November 2005 at Barboursville, Cabell Co., WV (MG, DP); one on 08 November 1987 at Kyger Creek Power Plant (WA).  See Remarks section for high counts.

REMARKS:

Winter High Counts:  On 09 January 1988, 65 on the Ohio River at Huntington, WV, (MG) and 28 on the Ohio River in Mason Co., WV (WA);  25 on 09 January 1999 at Byrd Locks & Dam (MG).   

Spring High Counts:  23 on 15 March 1987 (WA) and 27 March 2008 (WA) at Byrd Locks & Dam; 17 on 02 April 1987 at Milton, Cabell Co., WV (WA); 12 on 05 April 1970 at Kyger Creek Power Plant (HS); 10 on 28 March 1998 at Byrd Locks & Dam (MG) and 30 March 1970 at Kyger Creek Power Plant (WA, HS).

Fall High Counts:  293 on 24 November 1960 on the Ohio River, Cabell Co., WV (TI, LK); 30 on 30 November 1995 at Byrd Locks & Dam (WA).
