 Spring:  Rare Migrant from late April to early May.  Early dates, 22 March 2005 (AT, PT); 25 March 2007 (MG, DP); 17 April 2002 (WA); 18 April 2004 (HS); 22 April 2006 (MG, DP); 24 April 2004 (WA, JB, MG, DP); 26 April 2006 (WA); 27 April 1948 (Edeburn et al. 1960), 2002 (AT) and 2008 (WA, MG, DP, GR); 29 April 2008 (MG, DP).  Late dates, 20 May 2008 (KK, PS); 14 May (present from 04 May) 1996 (WA, BD, JH, GR); 08 May 1989 (WA, MG); 07 May 1988 (WA, AT, LW); 05 May 2005 (JLH, GR) and 2007 (LWC).

 Fall:  Rare Migrant from late September to late October.  Early dates, 28 August 1960 (Edeburn et al. 1960); one on 04 September 1967 (RS); 21 September 2003 (WA, JB, MG); 24 September 2000 (WA, JF, MG).  Late dates, 02 November 2008 (WA, MG, DP); 01 November 1951 (Edeburn et al. 1960); one collected on 27 October 1936 (Wetmore 1937); 25 October 2008 (WA, MG, DP); 23 October 1995 (WA); 21 October 2006 (WA, MG, DP).  See Remarks section.

REMARKS:

Haller (1940) collected specimens at Lakin, Mason Co., WV, and considered this species a common migrant in mid-September (Kiff et al. 1986).

Fall Banding Data:  Single birds banded on 16 and 17 October 1984 at Ona, Cabell Co., WV (LW).
