SUMMER:  NO RECORDS.

MIGRATION:

 Spring:  Uncommon Migrant from mid-April to early May. Early dates, 16 April 1941 (Edeburn et al. 1960); 17 April 1995 (MG); 18 April 2008 (MKE, JN); 19 April 2004 (MG); 24 April 1988 (MG), 2003 (MG) and 2010 (WA, MG, JAK, DP).  Late date, 18 May 1958 (Edeburn et al. 1960); 11May 1997 (HS); 07 May 2006 (MG, DP);

 Fall:  Fairly Common to Common Migrant from late September to mid-October.  Uncommon Migrant in early and mid-September. Uncommon Migrant from late October into November.  Early dates, 04 September 2003 (KK); 12 September 2006 (HS); 13 September 1953 (Edeburn et al. 1960); 15 September 2007 (LWC); 17 September 2006 (MG); 19 September 2003(HS).              

REMARKS:

Subspecies:  There are two banding records of Dendroica palmarum hypochrysea (Yellow Palm Warbler): one on 06 October 1963 (MK) at Ona, Cabell Co., WV (Kiff et al. 1986) and one on 26 September 1980 at Huntington, Cabell Co., WV (HS).  Sight records: 04 January 1997 (MG); 24 April 1988 (MG); 25 October 2008 (WA, MG, DP); 19 October 2002 (HS); 14 October 2007 (MG);  There are no specimens for D. p. hypochrysea from West Virginia (Hall 1983) and Hall believed records should be considered doubtful in the absence of specimens.
