WINTER:  Accidental.  One on 03 December 2007 at Byrd Locks & Dam (WA); one on 28 December 1963 on the Ohio River near Guyan Creek, Cabell Co., WV (WA, LK); one on 01 February 2000 on the Ohio River near Crab Creek, Mason Co., WV (WA) remained in area about 2 weeks.

SUMMER:  NO RECORDS.

MIGRATION:

 Spring:  Casual Visitant.  Five records.  One on 14 March 1953 on the Ohio River, Mason Co., WV (HKL, HCL) (Edeburn et al. 1960); one on 22 March 2003 (WA, MG) and 25 March 2003 (WA, MO) at Byrd Locks & Dam; one on 09 April 1986 on the Ohio River, Mason Co., WV (WA); one on 17 April 1966 at Byrd Locks & Dam (WA); one on 23 April 1997 on the Ohio River near Crab Creek, Mason Co, WV. (WA).

 Fall:  Casual Visitant.  Six records.  One from 26 October 1970 to 09 November 1970 at Kyger Creek Power Plant (HS); one on 26 October 1975 at Kyger Creek Power Plant (HS); one on 03 November 1951 (?) (Edeburn et al. 1960); one on 12 November 2004 at Byrd Locks & Dam (WA); one on 22 November 1952 on the Ohio River, Mason Co., WV (HKL, HCL) (Edeburn et al. 1960); one on 25 November 1960 on the Ohio River, Cabell Co., WV (WA, TI, LK, HCL).
