Red-breasted Nuthatch  Sitta canadensis

WINTER:  Uncommon Resident.  Fairly Common to Common during some years.  See Remarks section for CBC data.

SUMMER:  Accidental.  25 August 2007 (MG, DP).

MIGRATION:

 Spring:  Uncommon Migrant to early May.  Late dates, 30 May 1952 (Edeburn et al. 1960); 12 May 1973 (HS); 08 May 1977 (HS).

 Fall:  Uncommon Migrant from mid-September into November.  Early dates: 01 September 2007 (WA, MG, MO); 03 September 2007 (JAK); 05 September 2005 (DP); 09 September 2005 (GR);12 September 1981 (HS); 14 September 2005 (DP); 16 September 1972 (HS); 20 September 2004 (MG).
