SUMMER:  Casual Migrant.  Eight records, one on 25 July 2001 at Green Bottom WMA (WA, MG); one on 14 August 2004 at Byrd Locks & Dam (WA, JB, MG, MO); one on 23 August 1975 at Kyger Creek Power Plant (HS); one on 24 August 1961 at McClintic WMA (Handley 1976); one on 27 August 1978 at Kyger Creek Power Plant (HS); one on 30 August 1960 in Mason Co., WV (WA, LK, TI) (Edeburn et al. 1960); two on 30 August 2005 at Byrd Locks & Dam (WA); one on 31 August 2005 at Byrd Locks & Dam (WA, JB, MG).

MIGRATION:

 Spring:  Casual Migrant.  Four May records, all single birds: 14 May 1982 at Ona, Cabell Co., WV (GR); 21 May 2008 at Byrd Locks & Dam (WA); 24 May 1984 at Green Bottom WMA (HS, LW); 25 May 1969 at Kyger Creek Power Plant (HS).

 Fall:  Casual Migrant. from early September to early October.  Late dates, one on 05 November 2003 at Byrd Locks & Dam (WA); 10 October 1954 (HKL) (Edeburn et al. 1960) and one on 10 October 1997 at Kyger Creek Power Plant (WA, MG, photographed); two on 24 September 1972 at Kyger Creek Power Plant (HS).
